Biography

MC Magic (born Lee Haymore) was an MC from the Jamaica Queens area that used to rap with a few groups in the NY scene back in the day. He started out in a crew called Disco Enforcers, and then moved on to form "Sight & Sound" with DJ Easy E., MC Robbie Rob, MC Cheba Dee, and MC Kesha Kee. Magic rapped with S&S for a few years playing at clubs like; The Fantasia, The B.G. Manor, La' Chalet, Sassy's and school jams like I.S.8 in south Jamaica.

After S&S broke up Magic moved on to form the Frightful Four MC's and put out a song called "Rock the 80's" in 1980. He then showed up on the Infinity Machine roster partnered with MC's Freaky T. and Def Jeff. DJ Divine and the Infinity Machine would release the tune "Get in to the Mix" on West End Records in 1982.

MC Magic would later appear at the Jamaica Armory opening for Grandmaster Melle Mel, and Doug EFresh and the Get Fresh Crew under the group name "MC Magic and the Newbreed".

After a few months doing a stint as an Underground radio DJ in NY, Magic, going by the name BigLee started to do production work on music videos and feature films. He has worked on productions featuring artists like; Public Enemy, K-Solo, Chubb Rock, Queen Latifah, Madonna, Matt Dillon, Randy Quaid and Nicholas Cage. In 1995 BigLee moved out to Los Angeles and began doing publicity at FSPR public relations helping out with groups on the Delicious Vinyl roster, including Masta Ace, The Pharcyde and the Brand New Heavies.

In 1996 BigLee became the head publicist at MVP Records in West Hollywood and less than a year later was promoted to Director of Media Relations at the label. In 1997 BigLee became the head of Urban Music for MVP's parent company; REACT Records and executive produced CD's for West Coast Rap legends Rodney O & Joe Cooley "The Final Chapter" featuring Pookie D. and Insane Poetry's Horror-core masterpiece "Blacc Plague" on Night Breed Records. BigLee would go on to start his own Public relations firm called N.A.P.P.Y. Executives and would coordinate publicity for a number of Los Angeles clients including; Daniel Lemelle (Stone City Band/Bobby Brown), Justin Edmund (Disney), Debra Wilson (MAD TV), Shang Forbes (BET/HBO) Kumo (Air Bag Records).

In 1999 BigLee joined the executive roster at web upstart MCY.com. As director of urban media for the company, he co-produced, managed and coordinated concerts and web broadcasts featuring groups including but not limited to: Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Puff Daddy & The Family, Steel Pulse, Mos Def, Method Man, The Roots, Rah Digga, Red Man, Siqso, Beanie Man and Dougie Fresh. He also represented the company at music and web conferences in Germany, France, London and Amsterdam. BigLee aka MC Magic is currently running FUTURE Artist Management, under the name Cheda' Jones in New York City and has a roster of working models, actors and intellectual properties.
