The Jonas Brothers are an American pop-trio group from Wyckoff, New Jersey.
The Jonas Brothers began their careers in 2005 when they were signed to Columbia Records after a group audition.
The group is composed of three brothers: Joseph, Kevin, and Nicholas. They originally used the name "Sons of Jonas." They released their debut album It's About Time on August 8, 2006.
The Jonas Brothers have been featured on MTV's TRL, with their music video Mandy reaching the #4 spot. The group has also had its music featured in the Nickelodeon TV movie Zoey 101: Spring Break-Up. They performed "(Yo Ho) A Pirate's Life for Me" for Disneymania 4, and were featured on Cartoon Network's [[Cartoon Cartoon Fridays Fridays] program. The trio are all Christians, as said in their song, "Dear God". Their dad was in charge of getting the band's record deals. He also aids them financially.
For the newest season of the Disney Channel Original Series American Dragon Jake Long, the Jonas Brothers have recorded their own version of the show's theme song, which was previously sung by Mavin. The music video can be seen on Disney Channel.
In 2006 they toured with the pop duo Aly & AJ. They will also be participating in Radio Disney's Jingle Jam tour in fall/winter of that year.
The Jonas Brothers are often considered a pop punk group. They are sometimes referred to as a Christian group because of Nick Jonas' early song called "Dear God".
Most recently they have been booked by the Christian Music Festival called Revelation Generation on September 2, 2006 to perform alongside many other Christian musical artists.
