Biography

Bellingham, WA's Idiot Pilot included Michael Harris (vocals) and Daniel Anderson (guitars, keys, programming). Strange We Should Meet Here, the duo's debut, originally appeared in February 2004 through their own Clickpop imprint. But word of mouth was strong for the band's plucky blend of moody electronics and screeching post-hardcore noise, and Idiot Pilot was soon getting spins on Seattle modern rock radio and scoring gigs at Experience Music Project. They signed with Reprise in May of that year, gigged up and down the West Coast, and by the following autumn were preparing for the re-release of their (now remastered) album. Reprise did just that in May 2005 (after pushing the date back a few months), and Idiot Pilot hit the road in support.
